Miggedly Piggedly

 Poor kid didn't get to leave school until 8pm on his birthday. We did a late dinner at a Thai place, cupcakes, and presents. Oh, and a super late movie. All in all a great day for a great brother. Love him lots and lots. P.S. Tacy is the worst photographer. There is like 30 unusable photos on my camera. Believe me when I saw these are the best of the lot.

Captain Obvious

G: "Hey lets go to that burger place, I've heard it's really good."

Us: "Which place?"

G: "Ugh.  I can't remember. I think it had a crown in it."

Us: "You mean Crown Burger?"

G:"......Oh yeah, that's the one!"

(5 minutes later)

G:""Well, what about that italian place up the street right by so and so. What's that called?"

Kemptons: " The Italian Place."

Kim: "The italian place Ginny's talking about is called The Italian Place?"

(much later)

G: "I've been meaning to go to that chocolate dessert place you guys were talking about. What's that called again?"

Us: "The Chocolate."

Kitchen Round Up

 In order to clear out ingredients I still had in my cupboard from Christmas, Michael and I got buck wild.

 We also used my awesome Valentines themed cookie cutters I have never used.

 (yes, I realize Valentines is over BUT love is always in the air.)

I joined. I find rating books overwhelming, I have read too many books. I already like that I can add any book to my "want to read" list without the annoyance of knowing it's on my wish list. How do you begin to rate everything you've read? I know that you'll be like "who cares it's just a book" but for me it's exciting to see what kind of recommendations come up. I think I'll start with what I have on my bookshelves and move to books I checked out through work. 6 years at a bookstore... should be fun!

Weekend Blur

My roommate Krista and I are movie buffs. So this weekend we hit it hard core...

 Did not love this. I ended up being so uncomfortable with how out of control the main character was I had a hard time sitting still. Some say that is what makes good art, getting you out of your comfort zone and sometimes I agree (usually I appreciate it more in theatre) While I like a story with substance I also like to enjoy myself (see movie #3) and it was hard to sit through this.

 I was not expecting to like this but Tacy mentioned she went with some friends and laughed through the whole thing. I'll admit I laughed through a lot of it. The director also directed Charlie's Angels if that tells you something... it's a salad movie, everything that can be thrown in will be. But I loved it so there.

 Also, eye candy.

My favorite of the weekend! I'm still not on board with all these awards George seems to be nominated for with this movie but it was such an amazing movie I could see how people would equate the two. ;) Hospital scenes were killer, no one likes to feel that reality again. The older daughter was truly the stand out in the film. Side note: would love to live in Hawaii, not forever but ya know like a year on the island would do it for me.

 Who knew a balloon would entertain both for like ever? Also, Dora saves my life. When needing to put Little G down, 20 mins of Dora for Big E and all is right in the world!

Mundane to Glamorous

 How exciting, I know. Just wanted to share all the excitement in my life. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting for my car to be finished. I insisted on taking Michael since he will be inheriting my lovely lady car while I am away. And let's be honest he knows nothing about car stuff. It was fun...as most things with Michael end up being, I enjoyed passing on my oil-change knowledge to an eager student. :) The auto place had to have known we were coming because for the 2 hours we were there FRIENDS was playing in their lobby. We were exceptionally loud in our laughter and glee over that good fortune.

Valentines Dinner & Movie

 The reviews were not favorable, but what else am I going to see on Valentines Day? It was better than I thought. Poor Channing is at his best in dancing movies and sweatpants and should probably stick to that. It was the perfect pick for this day.
